Who am I?

Profile David Chaudoir

Who am I? I’m David Chaudoir, an ex-graphic designer. I spent over 35 years working in advertising and broadcast television. I loved the creative side of what I did, but the pressure was relentless. Over time, it took its toll: four heart attacks, open-heart surgery, and an autoimmune condition.

Although design was my passion, I came to realise the industry didn’t exactly love me back. Stress and anxiety had become constant companions.

That’s when I discovered hypnotherapy. For me, it was like a silver bullet against stress and anxiety — quick, effective, and life-changing. Beliefs and habits that had weighed me down for years suddenly shifted. Problems I thought I’d just have to live with no longer had the same grip.

I know that might sound like a bold claim — perhaps even a little “woo-woo” — but for me it’s the closest thing to magic I’ve ever experienced.

I’d already tried conventional therapy, and I still think it’s brilliant for certain things: relationship issues, self-discovery, simply having someone to listen. But when it comes to phobias, panic attacks, stage fright, or those deep-rooted anxieties we don’t fully understand, hypnotherapy can often create change in just a handful of sessions. Not years of revisiting the same story.

So this is where I start. My journey with hypnotherapy — what it’s done for me, what I’ve learned along the way, and how it might help others who are stuck with stress, anxiety, or habits that no longer serve them. As a hypnotherapist in Bath, I’m excited to share this with you.

This is the first post of many. If you’re ready to learn more about my approach or think hypnotherapy could help you, feel free to get in touch or explore my site for more information. Thanks for reading
